About the
Foundation
Grant Thornton Foundation (previously named Grant Thornton CSR Limited) is a charitable organization founded on June 27th, 2014, with the overall purpose of providing solutions to social issues through its Social Intervention and support programs. We aim to improve the livelihoods of underprivileged people and contribute to the realization of a fulfilling society.

The Foundation's core areas include education, governance, social & environmental, and health. Through the Foundation’s Social Intervention and support programs, we create opportunities for disadvantaged people in the society to improve their livelihoods. Social Intervention and support programs among others include but are not limited to providing for the needy in the society, supporting community transformative ventures, fostering developmental solidarity among people, and providing practical educational services to graduates to usher them into the job market. Therefore, driven by the passion to realize her noble aim, the Foundation hereby establishes and commits to run an Academy.

Why Choose US
The Grant Thornton Foundation believes in a range of heartfelt social interventions that are transformative to target beneficiaries. One such pillar is the necessity to provide mentorship to graduates for the pursuit of their successful careers. The Foundation has therefore planned to establish a Practical Training and Skills Development Academy. The program offers several benefits, including a work offer for the most successful trainees to work at Grant Thornton Uganda, assistance to other successful trainees in securing jobs with other organizations, opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge from the university to real-life scenarios, position trainees as experts in accountancy, commerce, and finance, and opportunities to gain experience from peers and share experiences.

We believe in equipping fresh graduates with much-needed practical skills that are relevant in the job market today. Augmenting qualifications from school with on-the-job simulation goes a long way in helping young graduates to be agile, employable, and ready to fit in organizations that have placements.

We do this at no cost for the students who are selected, and our selections are carefully carried out with a strict non-discriminatory policy. Our aim is to help our graduate trainees get plugged in employment opportunities as fast as possible to kick start their fulfilling careers.

Vision
To be the unmatched partner in providing practical training and skill development programs for graduates to make them prepared for the job market.
Mission
To establish and facilitate an all-inclusive training and development program that assists fresh graduates to gain practical knowledge and skills in various professional fields for their career prospects.
